GO!

Location
It’s in between of Boon Keng MRT and Potong Pasir MRT. Situated along a small road, the road leading to Happenstance can be easy to miss, so make sure you slow down and keep your eyes alert to your left once you pass Boon Keng MRT, towards the direction of Potong Pasir MRT. You can’t see the shop from the main road, so do be careful. Parking was fairly easy to find, with additional lots beyond the cafe, and the lots are all parallel.

Interior
Brightly lit, clean and spacious. Plus, friendly family crew to mingle with guests and play with the dogs. There’s a small play area with cushions, toys and water bowls so your little ones won’t feel bored. Of course,  they’re always more than happy to run up and down the long corridor of the cafe. There’s even a pee tray for your little ones to do their business! Very thoughtful!

Food
Very affordable. I’m always willing to pay slightly more for pet cafes, because it goes into the upkeep of the place – disinfectant, pee pads, mops, a higher water bill, air purifier.

Fries with minced beef and cheese ($12)

Truffle oil and chunky fries. Mm-hmm. Nachos cheese. Oomph.
Minced beef mixed with herbs. Awesome!
Salivating yet? While it would certainly make an excellent dish for a group of 4, it was too much for me. Guess I’ll just order the truffle fries the next time I’m here!

Cottage pie ($10.90)

This was fantastic. I loved this! Add a little Tabasco sauce and viola! Comfort food for the soul.

Build your own pasta (from $8.90)

Craving for a particular pasta? Happenstance allows you to customise your pasta your way from how it’s cooked (cream, tomato, aglio olio etc), to your favourite ingredients (chicken, pineapple etc), toppings, and your favourite cheese!

I think we are bad decision makers, our pasta didn’t taste the way we wanted it to, but I have to say that they were very, very generous with their ingredients and cheese.

I should have taken more pictures! Not to worry, I’ll be back, for sure. My dog kept running back and forth my table and the play area. I’m sure he enjoyed it as much as I did!
