VERY affordable Japanese soufflé pancakes in town?!?!
Pancakes and Friends is a small and cozy eatery located on the first floor of Far East Plaza. I walked past a couple of weeks ago and was shookth at their prices ($12 for Japanese soufflé pancakes?!) so when a breakfast opportunity came up I knew I had to try their pancakes.

Comes with sunny side up egg, chicken ham, cheese and maple syrup, the Big Breakfast reminds me of McGriddles, but on steroids. Didn’t expect this simple dish to be so good. Kudos to their jiggly soft soufflé pancakes which really made the difference.

Was pleasantly surprised by the copious amount of chocolate mousse / cream which made every mouthful a luxurious one. The light texture of the cream meant that it didn’t get too cloying even towards the end. Paired super well with the caramelised banana and I would definitely eat this combi again in the future. The chocolate mousse wasn’t too sweet so it’s perfect for those watching their intake yet wanting to indulge once in a while 🙂
Special shout out to this place for providing free water and tissue even when the prices of the mains are already so affordable! 😀
