Fukusen, Killiney Road

Fukusen at Killiney Road is an off beaten, hidden gem serving affordable lunch sets starting from $16.80 and good quality sashimi. Check out my reel for a quick summary of the place:

I love that Fukusen fairly prices their food. I noticed that the sashimi is priced much higher than their set meals but I would say it’s par for value. Having tried both their sets and sashimi, the latter is far more superior, and would be something I visit Fukusen for again. The Omakase 3 Types Sashimi included Otoro and I ordered Salmon Belly to go with. Super satisfying.

However, if I’m around the area and want a quick and moreish lunch, their sets would seal the deal. Each set comes with rice, chawanmushi, miso soup, pickles and fruits which makes it super value for money! Of the various sets I tried, I enjoyed the Salmon Mentaiyaki and Tempura the most.

Bonus point for the calming Japanese deco interior which is a really nice break from the hustle of Killiney Road.
