Visit for the gyu sando, stay for everything else.

Perhaps I set my expectations too high with the mouth watering pictures plastered all over social media but I was not impressed with the house cut gyu katsu sando. I was a little surprised that it didn’t come in a thick slab of meat; instead the meat is done mille feuille which I thought was a bad way to handle beef, not to mention quality beef. The meat was therefore not as juicy as I had hoped it would be, and definitely not melt in your mouth that’s signature of A5.

The tamago sando on the other hand was great! Thick, soufflé like egg coated in a layer of panko crumbs and sandwiched between shokupan. It comes with a bit of wasabi aioli which presents such a good contrast to the mild tasting tamagoyaki.

The Ebi Katsu Sando was another surprise for me! I usually don’t eat shrimps but this sando was SO GOOD. They minced the shrimps but it was unexpectedly succulent! I suspect the thick patty helped tremendously.

Can’t go wrong with potatoes, especially potatoes cooked in wagyu fat! These chips were wafer thin and extremely crisp. Thoroughly enjoyed this addictive appetiser.
