Go!!!
High ceiling, spacious, informal, delicious food. This is Atlas Coffeehouse for you. I visited on a Tuesday morning and this place was packed! Testimony of the good food and ambience? Quite a few cyclists stopped by for coffee so I guess the area is rather picturesque for that leisure ride. Parking was hard to find though. The landed housings at the back don’t allow for parking on either side of the lanes so we ended up parking quite a distance away.
Because it was packed, we had to sit at the high tables by the front, facing the main road. The view isn’t that great, but you’ll be getting a lot of natural light which is still nice.
Atlas Hash ($19). Homemade hash right at the bottom topped with sausages, bacon, a crispy sunny side up egg, handful of rocket leaves and special Atlas sauce.
First, the homemade hash. It’s super delicious! They seasoned it perfectly so you won’t get jelat right till the very end. Another special mention goes to the crispy sunny side up. It was really unique that they made the bottom of the egg crispy, setting it apart from the plain jane eggs we always eat. Good call.
Butterscotch Banana Pancake ($18.50). Butterscotch pancake with bananas, cornflakes, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup to drizzle.
I used to think that having ice cream on pancakes for breakfast was really weird but I just couldn’t resist having bananas on my pancake hence I ordered this. I did not regret a single bit. The pancake was so fluffy!
I thoroughly enjoyed my food at Atlas Coffeehouse. Will be back to try out the other dishes!
